What is the BK8 Shed??

The BK8 Shed is a custom built, mobile clothing and accessory store offering quality products from trusted brands such as Akubra and Ringers Western to customers in Karratha and throughout the Pilbara.

Built in July 2018 by Brad Groves (the B in BK8) the BK8 Shed features reverse cycle airconditioning and an insulated roof to enhance the perfect shopping experience and keep the Pilbara heat at bay.

Katie Groves (the K in BK8) utilised her past photography skills and the shed was completely wrapped in August 2018. Both images used on each side of the BK8 Shed are unique and close to the Groves’ heart. The two images were surprisingly taken only hours apart at the family favourite Mt Welcome Station. The first image depicts the rugged, dry land eagerly awaiting the first drops of seasonal rain. The second image perfectly shows the fierce but beautiful storm that arrived.

The BK8 Shed visits different Pilbara events and locations including the Roebourne Cup, FeNaCIng Festival, Pannawonica Rodeo, Onslow Rodeo, Broome Rodeo, Dreamers Hill and more. The unique BK8 Shed is also open by appointment for those Karratha residents (and visitors) who enjoy a personalised service, extra special shopping experience, or just need their new Akubra hat to be fitted correctly by the BK8 trained experts.
